Eco-Friendly Material - Wetsuit - Manufacturer and Supplier

For a long time, we have been committed to improving the physical properties of wetsuits (thermal, softer, better extensibility and compression resistance), and now we also realize the importance of protecting the earth's environment and sustainable development. Since 2022, by cooperating with the headquarters group and related suppliers to build a new VOC-free glue laminated fabric production line, we can now provide a series of environmentally friendly wetsuits produced from the source.

In terms of rubber sponge materials, in addition to the traditional ECO limestone based rubber sponge, we have newly developed RCS recycled rubber sponge (certified by Recycled Claimed Standard) and BIO biomass based rubber sponge (certified by USDA Bio-Preferred). In terms of laminated fabric, in addition to the traditional GRS recycled polyester and nylon fabrics, we also cooperate with InResST® to use OBP ocean recycled nylon fabrics (certified by Ocean Bound Plastic).

Traditional wetsuit fabric laminated glues contain VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), which are not only harmful to the environment, but can also cause negative health effects including headaches, throat and skin irritation, and breathing difficulties. Through the new production line of VOC-free glue laminated fabric (different processes), we can now provide VOC-free glue (water-based glue) laminated wetsuit fabric, which do not contain VOC and are friendly to the environment and human body.

It is a pity that RCS recycled rubber sponge needs chemical auxiliary agents in the polymerization process, so it cannot pass the GRS (Global Recycle Standard) certification, and can only pass the lower RCS (Recycled Claimed Standard) certification. So the wetsuit made of this material cannot pass the GRS certification, so the TC certificate cannot be issued.

Explain: Different from the traditional wetsuit fabric lamination production line, the VOC-free glue (water-based glue) lamination process requires a higher temperature in the production process, not just replacing the glue, so it is necessary to purchase new machines and set up new production lines.

Note: The VOC-free glue (water-based glue) laminated process production line has achieved mass production in 2022.
